Auricular Audio Magazine #2

by Various Artists

hello swirl A cohesive soundscape of ambient, difficult, noise music.

Black Museum's disruptive drone, "Untitled", seems exemplary of good difficult music. Chappell manifests rhythmic oceanic distortion briefly interrupted by melody. Juhn's wild, ambient soundscape naturally exposes distinct rhythm and harmony. Waste, Inc. makes beautiful wash-outs of harmony, distortion, and rhythm. Foundation's rhythm drone and looped radio terrorize pop, and Dobbs and Wortman make zany sound collage compositions. Favorite track: Inductive Effects.
