Spacial Rework

by Thomas Park and Conure

hello swirl This is the recurring theme of William Gibson's Sprawl trilogy. TV-static sky, desert pod city slums, sim-stim stars in league with cyber ghosts, and AI breaking free, industrial wastelands made home, &c.

Comedic future retro errors aside, if the Sprawl trilogy was made into great sci-films, as I envision they could be - "Spacial Rework" would set the theme, the ambience, the anxiety, the need, the edge.

about

Thomas Park (Mystified) and Mark Wilson (Conure) offer up their sophomore release of processed ambient drones. One continuous 40+ minute track perfectly suited as a soundtrack to relaxation, industrialization or exploration.

Thomas Park has been involved with music for his entire life. He was trained in classical and jazz music as a teenager, and played the trombone and piano. His listening habits changed in the late 1980's, and Thomas became interested in electronic music. After several years of writing techno as the band AutoCad, Thomas was fortunate enough to collaborate with Robin Storey of Rapoon. This project helped Thomas to evolve into the ambient / drone band Mystified. Mystified has since been fortunate enough to collaborate with Nigel Ayers of Nocturnal Emissions fame.

Now based in Berlin, Mark Wilson (also of 15 Degrees Below Zero and Rings of Smoke Through the Trees) has been creating ambient noise and other varieties of sound art under the moniker Conure since May of 2000.
